Hi, I’m Nicole!
I’m an artist, author, and former elementary school teacher with a passion for creating artwork and stories that bring joy, encouragement, and beauty to everyday life.
My love of art began early, inspired by my dad, a talented watercolor artist who passed down not only his paintbrushes but also his appreciation for creativity and the beauty found in God’s creation. Over the years, I’ve explored a variety of mediums including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and digital illustration, developing a loose, colorful style inspired by nature, faith, and the world around me.
My Christian faith is the foundation of my life and the greatest influence on my work. I find endless inspiration in the beauty of God’s creation, from blooming flowers and singing birds to changing seasons and everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Through both my art and writing, I hope to reflect the creativity, joy, and wonder of the world He has made.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree, I taught second and fourth grade before stepping away from the classroom to focus on my family and creative pursuits. Along the way, I’ve enjoyed a variety of entrepreneurial adventures, including owning a successful stationery business, a monogramming company, and working in interior design consulting. Each experience helped shape the creative business I enjoy today.
Through Nicole Estes Studio, I create original artwork, fine art prints, greeting cards, and children’s books designed to inspire, encourage, and bring a smile. Many of my favorite subjects include florals, birds, fruit, and the everyday beauty of southern life.
My debut picture book, Harper Had the Hiccups, combines humor, teamwork, and a little bit of joyful chaos to create a story children love to read again and again. Whether I’m painting in the studio, illustrating a new book, or teaching a painting class, my goal is always the same, to create something that brings happiness to others and point people toward the beauty, goodness, and hope that can be found all around us.
I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, with my husband, Steve. We are proud parents of two grown daughters, Natalie and Raegan, who continue to be my biggest supporters and lifelong cheerleaders. Our mischievous dachshunds keep life entertaining and often inspire a few creative ideas of their own.
Thank you for visiting my website. I’d love to connect with you through artwork, classes, book events, collaborations, or simply a shared appreciation for creativity, faith, and the beauty of God’s creation.
